Travels...

Just a quick post while Naomi sleeps and I am surrounded by piles of clothes and empty suitcases --- which should be full suitcases by now! We are off on a week's holiday to Sydney, and down to the snow. Going with Brad's family, and we have been looking forward to this for months.

But we have had a hitch. While away on business on Wednesday, Brad had a small haemorrhage in his right eye (he is type 1 diabetic). An emergency trip to a laser eye clinic that day, and he has come home and had a review with his eye specialist today. The news is that there is a 50/50 chance that it will re-bleed in the next week, and if that happens, surgery will be required. We know a very good eye surgeon in Sydney, so if the worst does happen, the best treatment should still be available. And Brad has been told not to ski or snowboard this week....
